Tapestry – Online Children’s Journal
At SpectacularKidz we pride in our partnership with our Parents. It is very vital for us to involve and carry parents along with their child’s learning and progress.
This has been challenging in the past where busy parents cannot take time off to experience the life of their children at nursery though they very much want to do so, or have the time to go through their children’s profile and keep abreast with their learning and development.
Hence in 2015, SpectacularKidz introduced an online journal – Tapestry.
Tapestry is an easy-to-use online learning journal software, that helps educators and parents to record, track and celebrate children’s progress in early years’ education.
Nurseries and pre-schools classes are fun-packed and busy. From messy play and first steps to learning phonics and new games, there’s so much for children to do, learn and take in.
Tapestry enhances this special time, helping teachers and practitioners to capture children’s experiences as well as monitor development and learning. This unique journal is shared online with parents, who are able to see only their own child’s special moments and view their progress.
Text, images and videos can be easily uploaded via PC, tablet or our mobile app – anywhere there’s an online connection. Every entry helps to create a complete story of a child’s time at nursery or pre-school. It connects written and media based observations with assessment and next steps planning.
Once an information for your child is input into their Journal, an instant notification is sent to the Parent/Carer’s mobile device or email which gives instant access to their child’s journal. Parents can instantly see what their child has been doing during the day through pictures, video clips.
Parents are given a unique access to their child’s own profile and this access can extend to other special people in the child’s life i.e. grandparents, nans etc.
Tapestry enables us to track and analyse the progress of individual children and whole groups. It facilitates effective planning on both an individual and group basis to ensure that children are meeting the targets in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
We love to carry parents and carer’s along with the progress their child’s is making and through our online journal you can see how your child is progressing through our curriculums, and messages can be share with your child’s key person and yourself at any time with ideas, concerns or information about your child’s progress, milestones at home and any achievements.

Family access

Parent & Toddler Group
SpectacularKidz is a kind and welcoming environment.Come along and meet parents and their children within your local area. Have fun and make friends. Inside we have messy play, playdough, painting, water table, sand table. Ride-ons, and toys, Kitchen with play food, etc. Garages with cars, action men, castles, toddler area, Songs, bubbles, parachute, instruments, crates of animals and toys toystoys!
Outside play garden available with all-weather safety surface, play house, climbing frames, swings, slides and ride ons.
We have Plenty of car parking within the premises. We have a very friendly and welcoming environment.
We provide Tea and coffee, biscuits and drinks during each sessions. Very friendly and.
Sessions are available ALL YEAR ROUND Every Monday-Friday
Time: 10am-11am ,12pm-1pm and 2pm-3pm
